My art is colorful and very eclectic. I love what I do! I am always willing to experiment and try something different.  This experimentation takes me on a journey of discovery where the process is the vehicle that leads to the finished piece. Sometimes I start a piece with an image in mind, other times I let the paint do its thing and I just go with it. I love surprises. If it works, great, if not I just cover it with another layer of paint and begin anew.

As a mixed media artist I work with acrylics and acrylic mediums, watercolor, gouache, pastel, colored pencil, found objects and collage materials such as paper and fabric. My art ranges from contemporary realism, to abstract expressionism, to found object assemblage.

Every day items intrigue me. Rocks, leaves, bones, flowers, fruit, clothes pins, rusted bottle caps, candy wrappers, newspapers, fabric…anything with color, texture or interesting shape. All these things stir a memory, a laugh, or a feeling in my mind and will find their way into my art.
